Since 1997, The Traveling Taxman, Inc. (Willie Porter & Associates) has provided personalized financial services to individuals and businesses throughout Chicago, Indiana, and Wisconsin areas. For the past ten years, their office has been in Matteson, Illinois; minutes from the I-57 expressway. Their friendly and professional service has often managed to turn the first-time customer into long-term clients.  More than half of his clients have been with Mr. Porter for over ten years.

Willie Porter is a Tax Advisor and sole proprietor of The Traveling Taxman, Inc. He has prepared personal and business tax returns since 1997. He studied accounting at Chicago State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership at Roosevelt University. Willie holds a Master of Arts from Roosevelt University in Training and Development/Accounting. He is an active member of The National Society of Accountants and The National Association of Tax Professionals.

Many of Mr. Porter’s clients have transitioned through a variety of life changes. He works with them to plan and make proactive changes.  He specializes in returns from the simplest to those complex calculations involving states and international issues. Mr. Porter is an authorized IRS e-file provider. He provides individual tax counseling and year-round guidance for small business operations.

He offers affordable, competitive services with no hidden fees-and to prove it, the price list is posted under the resources tab. You won’t find THAT with the national tax services. Willie is so proud of the relationships he’s built over the years with his clients; and he loves to share stories of watching his client’s children grow into adulthood, and now they’re clients of The Traveling Taxman, Inc.

Willie and his family reside in Olympia Fields, Illinois.  During his off time, he enjoys traveling the world and spending time in his backyard with his Golden Doodle, Chili.
